Dr Green works as a musculoskeletal, rehabilitation and pain specialist in the public and private sectors. His public appointments include Visiting Medical Specialist to the Repatriation General Hospital (Musculoskeletal Clinic), Visiting Medical Specialist to the Royal Adelaide Hospital Pain Management Unit and Flinders Medical Centre COPER program. As part of his public work he travels to Alice Springs and Darwin for the Pain Management Service.
Dr Green has been awarded the Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and also awarded Fellowship with the Faculty of Pain Medicine (Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists). In addition to this Dr Green has a Post Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine which remains his dominant area of interest. Dr Green is actively involved in both under and post graduate education at the Flinders University of South Australia as a clinical facilitator and lecturer.
Dr Green also maintains a specialist private practice of general practitioner referred patients as well as company, insurer and lawyer referred work. As part of this he provides an independent medical examination and consultancy service for worker’s compensation and third party insurers in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Specific areas of interest are interventional treatments for spinal and other persistent pain conditions. This includes dorsal column simulation/facet block-rhizolysis/epidural injection/nerve root blocks, among others.
